RCN Foundation appoints new Trustee and Advisers
The RCN Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Trustee to its Board, and five new Advisers to its Committees.
Informed by their sector-leading careers in nursing, midwifery, investment banking, marketing, and grantmaking, the RCN Foundation Board and Committee members provide advice and accountability to the staff team.
The new Trustee is Alison Hoad of Publicis.Poke, who has already served as an Adviser to the RCN Foundation since 2021. The new Advisers are Fiona Bickley, Dr Katrin Lehmann, Matthew Craddock, Hemal Naran and Andrew Wauchope. They took up their roles on 1 September 2022.
Our Trustees and Advisers come from a wide range of backgrounds and include an Investment Committee member of the World Health Organization (WHO), the Chief Operating Officer of Barts Charity, a Consultant Nurse in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) at Belfast HSC Trust, and the Regional Head of UK and Ireland Institutional at Allspring Global Investments.
Professor Jane Cummings, Chair of the RCN Foundation, said: "Those joining our Board and Committees bring a wealth of skills, experience and expertise from a wide range of backgrounds including strategic finance, nursing and midwifery, advertising and the charity sector.
"I am delighted that we have such high calibre appointees joining the RCN Foundation. Our newly-strengthened governance structure will ensure that we are well placed to achieve our ambitions to make a positive difference to nursing and patient care, both now and in the future."
