Run the Royal Parks half marathon
Date: Sunday 9 October 2022
Take on a new challenge whilst raising vital funds for nurses
Take part in a 13.1-mile half marathon through four of London's Royal Parks on Sunday 9 October to raise money for nurses, midwives and health care support workers in the UK.
The route of this half marathon is spectacular, taking you past many world-famous landmarks and through Hyde Park, Green Park, St James's Park, and Kensington Gardens.
You don't need to raise thousands to make a difference to healthcare staff – pledge to raise £250 and our fundraising team will support you to meet your goal.
Funds raised for the RCN Foundation go into hardship grants for healthcare workers experiencing financial difficulties, and education grants that enable the nursing and midwifery teams to deliver the best possible patient care.
Apply before 25 August to be sure of an official fundraiser spot.
Send an email to rcnfoundation@rcn.org.uk or give us a call on 020 7647 3645.
We also have fundraiser places available on the Wizz Air Cardiff half marathon – find out more here.
Nurse Peter Huxley on running for the Foundation in 2021
"I work as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner at Salford Royal Hospital part of the Northern Care Alliance. I have been a qualified nurse for 21 years now and have loved every minute of my career, but have also seen the hardships that nurses have fallen on over the course of the last two years.
"I am delighted to have raised money for the RCN Foundation who are there to support every member of the nursing and midwifery team who need help.
"I ran for my colleagues, friends, and for my boys (aged 6 and 10), to show them that you can do anything you put your mind to. I loved the race, I truly did. It's been an absolute pleasure."
