CHSA has committed £4.85 million since June 2020 to 29 organisations helping frontline healthcare workers affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Grants have been made to help individuals impacted directly as a result of Covid-19, either facing financial hardship or struggling with mental health related issues. CHSA is also funding projects that support the resilience and recovery of the sector. Requests for help include organisations supporting nurses, doctors, health care assistants, hospital porters, ambulance workers and paramedics, social workers and care homeworkers.
CHSA has been funded through an incredibly generous gift of £5 million by TikTok, the video-sharing social network service. In making this gift, TikTok recognised that health and care staff are at the forefront of the fight against Covid-19 and wanted to help.
